Brave Bear Shivani Gupta on Ayurveda

April 11, 2017 By berni

So you may recognize the brave bear we’re featuring in today’s episode. Shivani Gupta, my friend and teacher for all things green living and Ayurveda, chats with me about how we healers and intuitives can make conscious choices to help us honor our bodies with self care, healthy lifestyle choices, and ancient rituals to support optimum health.

We talk briefly about The Conscious Pregnancy–the book we worked on together–and how I was able to reduce the toxic burden in my home and in my body as a result of applying Shivani’s guidelines as I was editing the manuscript. Shivani also provides a few pointers on how to get ready for possible stress-inducing events, which I took with me on my most recent trip to give a keynote speech in Ontario, Canada. And, to no surprise, it worked!

If you’re a creative professional, an entrepreneur, a mom, a newbie to green living, an elite athlete, or you’re interested in Ayurveda, there are lots of gems in this episode!

Note: It’s actually quite funny because Shivani’s green smoothie went down the wrong tube while she was responding to a question. So you’ll notice about half way through the episode, there will be a brief intermission where I had to edit that part of the audio.

“It’s about figuring out how to start people at level one and then they can always get to level 100 in their self-care and health practices. But it has to fit within your current lifestyle.” – Shivani Gupta

“If you could build a couple of healthy habits into your day and really reverse aging or prevent chronic disease, why wouldn’t you do that.” – Shivani Gupta

“Self-care is the rock that let’s me do everything else.” – Shivani Gupta

“All of my goals I set for myself are dreams and wishes. And I now trust that they’re going to happen, whereas before I was on a hamster wheel.” – Shivani Gupta

“I know what I’m on this earth for is so great and it will unfold for me. So now that I’m this place of such happiness and joy, I know it’ll unfold for me beautifully.” – Shivani Gupta
